Apricum has acted as sell-side advisor to Alta Renewables on the successful sale of its 12 MWp Iloilo Power utility-scale solar project in the Philippines to investor Skye Renewables.
Apricum provided full-scope M&A sell-side advisory services throughout the transaction, covering investor materials, investor identification and outreach, the management of a competitive sales process, and support through negotiations, structuring and closing, as well as post-transaction support to achieve key permitting milestones.
The successful divestment of the Iloilo project enables Alta Renewables to focus its resources on its next phase of growth, including the development of a significantly larger renewable energy platform comprising 325 MW of solar PV and 450 MW of battery energy storage. Apricum will again act as sell-side advisor in this next development phase.
The transaction was led by Apricum Senior Advisor Moritz Sticher, who also led Apricum’s previous mandate for Alta Renewables (formerly Energy Lite) in the Philippines. Moritz brings deep regional expertise and extensive experience in both C&I and utility-scale solar project development across Southeast Asia, including the Philippines.
