We are pleased to welcome Chad Canfield to Apricum as Senior Advisor. Chad brings more than 25 years of energy and banking experience, having built and led diverse teams across emerging and developed markets, with a distinguished track record in project finance and a deep network spanning developers, lenders, and financial institutions in the renewable energy sector.
Most recently, Chad was Head of Corporate Finance & Project Finance at DTEK Renewables International, where he partnered with the CEO and CFO to design and execute a new finance strategy. His career also includes senior roles at Finance-in-Motion, the AES Corporation, and Union Bank, as well as his own advisory ventures, including PF-Blueprint BV. Over his career he has structured, negotiated, and closed project finance transactions across Europe, Africa, Latin America, and Asia — aggregating more than $8 billion in greenfield capital alone. Chad’s many transactions have earned industry recognition, including IJGlobal’s Market Pioneer Award Europe and Infrastructure Investor’s Renewables Deal of the Year.
Chad’s extensive transaction and financing experience strengthens Apricum’s offer to clients across both our M&A advisory work in the energy transition and our project finance services, supporting successful outcomes at every stage of a deal.
Chad holds a degree in business administration with a finance emphasis from The University of Montana – Missoula, USA.
