Apricum – The Cleantech Advisory is pleased to welcome Lorenz Haberstig to our growing team. As our new senior consultant based in our London office, Lorenz will play a key role in helping Apricum’s clients to accelerate the global energy transition. With broad cleantech knowledge, his core expertise lies in the fields of integrated utilities, energy infrastructure, route-to-market and sourcing, as well as in energy retail and customer solutions.
With a background in strategy development, operating model design and implementation, and M&A and post-merger integration, he possesses the sought-after blended skill set that enables Apricum to cut through the complex renewable energy industry landscape. Furthermore, his expertise in business transformation and innovation, market analysis, stakeholder management, and project management ensures that our clients will receive the premium-level, comprehensive strategic guidance that has made Apricum a success.
Before joining Apricum, Lorenz was a consulting associate with Charles River Associates, where he played a pivotal role in developing an operating model for a renewable energy producer’s new power trading unit. This involved creating efficient organizational structures and processes for clients, as well as establishing seamless interfaces with other companies. One of the other key projects Lorenz led, was the techno-economic analysis of a hard-to-decarbonize industry while also contributing to the development of a comprehensive view on current emissions and potential energy usage in industries for a major energy company with a focus on a central European country. Additionally, Lorenz worked on a range of projects focused on operating model design, large scale transformations and investor support.
Lorenz holds a master’s degree in business innovation from the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland where he also completed his bachelor’s degree in business administration. Lorenz is fluent in both English and German, and in his freetime he enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking and mountain biking.
