Apricum — The Cleantech Advisory is proud to announce that Solbin Kim has taken on a new role as associate and country representative South Korea, marking a significant milestone in his career journey with Apricum. This transition underscores Apricum’s commitment to supporting clients in the energy transition and fighting climate change on a global scale. Solbin will be based in South Korea, but remain part of the firm’s transaction advisory team.
Solbin Kim joined Apricum in 2020 as a consultant, bringing with him over five years of experience in the energy and utilities sector in his career. With a master’s degree in renewable energy engineering and management from the University of Freiburg, Solbin quickly proved his worth on a range of cleantech strategy development and transaction advisory projects, specializing in areas such as solar, wind, digital energy and green hydrogen.
In recognition of his exceptional contributions and dedication, Solbin was promoted to the position of Senior Consultant in 2022. During this time, he continued to excel in his role, demonstrating formidable technical and strategic expertise, as well as a strong business acumen. His efforts were instrumental in driving Apricum’s success and growth in the cleantech sector.
In March 2023, Solbin made a significant career pivot, transitioning from the consulting team to the transaction advisory team as an Associate. This move showcased his versatility and willingness to take on new challenges, as well as his commitment to personal and professional growth.
Now, with his latest appointment as Associate and Country Representative South Korea, Solbin is embarking on an exciting new chapter in his career. With this new role, Solbin will focus on business development activities in South Korea and Japan to support Apricum’s further growth in these regions, along with his ongoing contribution to transaction advisory projects. His journey from Consultant to Senior consultant to Associate, and now to Country Representative South Korea, is a testament to his exceptional talent and leadership qualities as well as Apricum’s commitment to developing talent to help its employees reach their full potential.
